0173: Multi-graft Japanese Plum

Order: Rosales
Family: Rosaceae
Subfamily: Maloideae or Spiraeoideae
Genus: Prunus
Subgenus: Prunus

We planted this multi-graft plum tree at Rick's house in Santa Rosa. There are five plums grafted onto a Citation Hybrid Rootstock: Beauty Plum, Nubiana Plum, Laroda Plum, Late Santa Rosa Plum, Elephant Heart Plum.

0161-0172: Coast Redwoods

On Saturday, Rick joined me for a morning of planting with a volunteer group with Forest Unlimited. About 400 potted redwoods were planted for the Graton Water District. As a team, he and I got about a dozen in the ground.

Genus: Sequoia (see-KWOY-uh)
Species: sempervirens (sem-per-VY-renz)
