A year ago, Rick and I transplanted several fig shoots from his adult tree. I've been fostering them in pots for the past year but decided to plant the largest one at my parent's house in Potter Valley. The mother tree at Rick's house is known to be a Calimyrna fig, the California version of the Smyrna fig.
