In the fall of 2007 I made a goal of planting 1000 trees....

0279: Tiger Fig

A friend passed this fig off to me. I planted it on the side of the house where I can espalier it on the west wall in the zone between house and fence we call "Death Alley" due to the warm afternoon heat. Here we have cacti and succulents thriving. I hope to give the fig the long warm season it needs to ripen it's fruit.

Family: Moraceae
Genus: Ficus
Species: F. carica
Cultivar: Ficus carica 'Panachée'

Photo to come.
